As a Telugu guy traveling from Bengaluru to Mumbai by bus, I noticed that the passengers were a mix of South Indians and people from other regions. During the night, in the middle of the journey, a Bihari guy was watching reels on his phone without using earbuds or earphones, playing the sound at full volume. It was quite annoying to the other co-passengers who were trying to rest. On top of that, a group of Rajasthani & up guys were completely drunk and behaving in a disruptive manner. I don’t understand why some people lack basic civic sense, (they are all educated),

I'm from WB, Since childhood i traveled throughout india, noticed this hooligan culture to some degree nearly everywhere but it's too much in Delhi, Bihar and UP. Countless kind and civil people live there and they also hate it but having no other way they endure it. I don't see many people saying it but North-eastern people are very disciplined and Polite.

Brother I am from Bangalore and can say that the northies have destroyed the vibe of our city. They are so entitled and treat the natives as if we are supposed to cater for their ego they see themselves to be above everyone else. Bangalore was better with only the south Indian population.

As a South Indian, I experienced this in Singapore. My family and I were on a trip, enjoying our evening at a hotel when a Punjabi family of around 10-15 people was being extremely loud. Many non-Indians started arguing with them, and because of their behavior, we were also asked to leave. Due to the actions of certain groups like Punjabis, Gujaratis, UP, Haryanvis, and Biharis, the reputation of other Indian states also gets affected.

As a person from the Northeast, I can confirm that many in North India do lack civic sense, which is sad since they represent us on a larger scale around the world. Stereotypes exist for a reason. Even if you argue that they only make up 1 or 2 percent, you must understand that India is the most populous country, and 1 percent is still higher than the population of most countries.
Before anyone jumps on me, I want to clarify that I have friends from North India whom I love, and I wish them the best. But as an Indian, I feel we deserve better. It feels like India is moving from the third world to the fourth world, as things seem to be going backward. Air quality is at an all-time high, and that's one of the reasons why I can't pursue my education in Delhi. Sometimes, I wonder if I will ever witness a better India in my lifetime. Jai Hind ????

The self entitlement of north Indians starts from the Bollywood movies in the past. These guys are heavily influenced by their cinema which eventually results in treating fellow Indians from the south terribly. They continue their shitty behaviour overseas too. It's high time and imperative that these guys should be educated with basic etiquettes and civic sense.

A north Indian acquaintance on a cruise in Ha Long Bay, Vietnam recently, kept singing old Bollywood songs throughout the serene trip, much to the dismay of the other western, Japanese and Australian tourists on board who kept asking him to stay quiet. My head bowed with shame when he showed me the videos of his trip.

Before I went to Bangalore few months back (i am a telugite from Andhra) for my job, I was this naive guy who thought "all Indians are the same, why hatred amongst ourselves" and then later my northie co-workers showed me few racist scenes from bollywood. And then even these people started being racist towards us south indians. They would say "you all madrasis are the same" when I said that I was from Andhra and not from Chennai. And these are from UP, Bihar.
Also, talking about hindi, these people would say "you should speak hindi because WE made Bangalore Bangalore", as if these were the descendants of Kempegowda.
Few rajasthanis lived in our street in my hometown. They wouldn't use toilets at all. They urinate and poop in public. My god..... the uncivilized behaviour. The owners of the house had to vacate them.

Thank you for bringing this out. As an Indian living in Europe, I don't understand why people don't respect/follow the local norms. Especially while travelling on tram or bus, they speak with their full voice whereas the locals would rather whisper if they have something to say. Outside India, you represent the whole country, so behave with the utmost civic sense.

The real danger is these uncivilized and unhygienic behaviour are not just being ignored but promoted shamelessly, often with government money. They claim these things are part of Indian/Hindu culture. If you protest, you'll be labelled as anti national.

I am from North East India and during my visit to singapore one native Singaporean greeted me so nicely and knowing that I am a tourist he smiled and said "hello welcome to Singapore, are you from Bhutan" I said no I am from India, right after saying that his facial expression changed from smiling face to mood off face.
And second instance in Phillipines when i was exploring the red light area, two ladies approached me and was trying befriend me and since I have Asian looks they thought I may be a Japanese or Chinese, and when I told them that I am Indian, their instant expression was made an ewww expression and instantly moved away from me. And after few seconds they again came back and was like "but you don't look like Indian". We northeast people are not considered as Indian by our own fellow Indians in mainland India as well as in other countries ??. But the good thing is that we don't face discrimination issue abroad like how other Indians get.

I'm from Bhopal, MP, and I live in Europe. When people ask me which part of India I'm from, I tell them 'the center.' People who have been to India, especially Kerala and around Delhi and Agra, know how different these two regions are. I get more scared to tell them where I'm from, so I try to distance myself from that i am from around delhi basically try to tell them look how diffrent mp is from there.
Basically, I think movies have destroyed people's brains. This whole 'being a gangster, doing whatever the f*** we want' mentality is corrupting minds. The 'main character syndrome' is a big problem, especially among people from the urban North. People from villages are often ignorant because they don't know any better, so we can't say much about them. But when educated and aware people still choose to act this way, they're suffering from full-blown main character syndrome disorder.

During our recent stay at a hotel in Kerala (we are keralites), we had an uncomfortable experience at the buffet breakfast. A large North Indian family - around 20 people, was dining at the same time, and they were extremely loud, crowding around the food table, picking up food with their hands, and almost emptying the trays. Some even asked the staff to replace papad four to five times and packed food for later. The overwhelmed staff struggled to keep up, and we felt quite uneasy. Despite my attempts to show discomfort, they didn’t seem to notice. With foreigners also present, the situation felt even more embarrassing, and we ultimately lost our appetite.

I live in kolkata, and immigrants from mostly Bihar are really tooo much. The roads are covered with spitting even metro is not speared... loud DJ at midnight, eve teasing, harassing women on public transports..
WE NEED TO TEACH CIVIC SENSE AND DISCIPLINE TO ALL!!! We need to focus on primary education. Skill learning. Seriously Indians are living in Dark age.

I truly appreciate every word in this video. As a Bengali from Northeast India, I have a distinctly Indian appearance. When I travel to countries like Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan as a tourist, I often experience the discrimination we face as Indians, and it's so common at times that it feels heartbreaking. I recall being at a five-star hotel in Azerbaijan, where I went to the reception with some questions. I was repeatedly ignored, while the staff was eager to assist British and Chinese tourists.

I empathize with you my South Indian brothers and sisters. I am a North Indian and people like auto drivers and shop keeper treated me badly just because I look like a North Indian and probably becasue I can't speak Tamil. We are too divided by caste, skin color, language etc. and I think we need to learn to be better and embrace each other and teach others to acceptance.

There cannot be any justification for criminality. North India suffered from highest rate of conflicts and is still suffering. South India remained isolated from heavy continuous conflicts. So they remained safe and peaceful. North India's problem are very historical. To solve the problem you need to correct the history and present both. But sadly only present can be corrected.

I live in London, where you can find many people from north. It is very common to see them(not all) speaking on video calls on the streets, listening to music on speakers, Spitting on the streets or bins being stained red from paan.
On trains they easily annoy people by talking on the phone or talking loudly if travelling in group, ofc this brings bad reputation on indians.
I apologize if my words have caused any hurt or offense. It was not my intention, I understand that my perspective may differ from others, and I respect that everyone has their own viewpoints.

i hv been working in a modern Gulf country for 18 years but i hardly come across these kind of sterotype or hatred against indians which is very common in western countries, here both North and south indians are respected alike, everyone follow the rules bcz the laws are strict and no one is above the law, but in western countries some people misuse liberal laws and behave badly,

I am not from India, but I am a Tamil. When I was in an African country, There were many North Indians in the project I worked on. I noticed they congregate together and complain about me to the boss who is an Anglo-Indian. All coined up stories and it does not benefit them personally either. Maybe the fear that we may take over their jobs eventually. I don't find any other reason. Luckily the boss listens to them and he knows their attitude and behaviour. Somehow as time passed, one guy got around him and showed the boss how to send money in the black market, sell some items belonging to the company and to gain access with the locals etc. The boss started to listen to him. But luckily, by that time my assignment was over.

I am from Delhi and I absolutely love South Indian food and cannot live without it. I also love the temples, culture and ahem ...graceful ladies ... From South India as well. I thought this would be another anti-North Indian video calling us racists and mannerless but infact the video was very well balanced and made with absolutely true fact and logic based analysis.
